In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands a high-profile job for which she is ill-suited, with tectonic consequences for her marriage and her political future. Producers have convinced both the US and British governments to allow them to use real-life filming locations for the series, including more recently the US Embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.
The only place not accessible was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador
Great Britain allowed filming in the office of the foreign minister, which is a rare honor for any film or screen production, especially an American one. Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest plot of residential land (11 acres) in London, excluding Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming..

Absolutely top-notch production and acting throughout the series. The script is smart and interesting, exciting and well-acted.
The character development is quite reliable, and the actors are not mere caricatures
Again and again, the character seems one-dimensional at first, but then the story develops, and they are actually much more complex than they first appear. My only complaint is that some of the “romantic” storylines introduced are so clumsy and out of place that they are disjointed and abrupt.
Someone decided to inflate the show a bit into a soap opera, and it doesn’t improve the result
Professional situations that suddenly turn into “I’m just a girl standing in front of a guy” seem to come out of nowhere.
